Roll the die to begin!
How the yard plays it
๐ฒ Take turns rolling the die and hop your token up the board from 1 to 100. Roll a 6 and you roll again.
๐ช Land at the foot of a yard ladder and you climb straight up โ sparkles and all.
๐ Land on a camoudi's head and you take the gentle slide down to its tail. Aww. Don't worry โ our water snakes are friendly; they just love company.
๐ You must land on 100 exactly to win. Roll too big and you stay put โ unless the bounce-back rule is on, in which case you bounce back down by the extra amount.
๐ชจ Win the game and the yard pays you 100 Rocks.
๐ฟ This game was born in India centuries ago, where they called it Moksha Patam โ the climbing game. It crossed the ocean with the grandmothers and found the Guyanese yard, played on verandas from Number 19, Corentyne to Berbice ever since. Born in India, played in the yard โ this edition is ours.
